STORY & VISION
More Than Just A Boat
When we decided to embark on the BEAT BOAT journey, we knew it couldn’t just be another project. It had to be something extraordinary—a culmination of everything we’ve learned, everything we’ve dreamed of, and everything we’ve become.
After six years and 250 unforgettable boat parties, one thing became clear: we could only move forward with this project if every single part of it was perfect. And when I say perfect, I mean taking all the joy we’ve seen in our customers, all the things that worked beautifully, and combining them with the lessons from every mistake we’ve made and every moment we thought, ‘Man, it would be amazing if we could do this.’
Before we even started, we made a promise to ourselves: no compromises. Perfection, for us, meant four things. First, the right people. This project isn’t just about a boat—it’s about the team, the partners, and the investors. It was essential to surround ourselves with people who not only believed in the vision but who brought something special to the table—people we could learn from, grow with, and who shared the same passion and drive for excellence.
Second, the right boat. We didn’t just want a boat; we wanted the ultimate vessel for creating unforgettable experiences. The design had to be flawless—zoning that connects key areas seamlessly, spaces that enhance moods and energy, and features that make every program, every moment onboard, unforgettable.
Third, the right vision for sustainability. From the beginning, it was clear that BEAT BOAT couldn’t be a business that consumed us. It couldn’t be like building the greatest pizza place, where customers only come because the owner is there to make the pizzas. For BEAT BOAT to succeed, it needed to stand on its own, thriving even without us at the center. That’s why we invested heavily in the right technology—a self-sustaining, scalable ecosystem that analyzes where we’re doing great and where we might be going wrong. It’s staff-efficient and built to grow without sacrificing quality or relying on our constant presence.
Finally, the right story and theme. We wanted something authentic, not just a passing trend. The experience we envisioned had to paint a picture in our customers’ minds without us spelling out every detail. It needed to be timeless—an invitation for guests to imagine and create their own unique journey onboard, sparked by the essence of BEAT BOAT rather than a list of features.
But BEAT BOAT isn’t just a business to us—it’s a reflection of the journey Luke and I have been on. One of the most important lessons in life is understanding your strengths, but also being honest about your flaws. Luke and I—the two people behind BEAT BOAT—came to a point where we truly understood who we are and what we needed to be successful.
For us, it wasn’t just about creating a great business; it was about creating the right partnership. We’re two very different people, but we complement each other perfectly. Where one of us might have weaknesses, the other has strengths. It’s rare in life to meet your Gegenstück, your perfect counterpart, but when you do, it’s something truly special.
This project is about more than monetary success. It’s about growth, learning, and building something that not only gives back to us but inspires and connects with everyone involved.”*
